Sense of Endlessness in Lines
With the client’s intention to have all the art pieces be viewed in natural light, the preservation of the pieces were addressed by the use of UV shield glass panels on the roof. The open truss system below housed return air ducts. External light entered the space via double reflection through the leaves. Light fittings lined the ends of the leaves, further accentuating the pieces on the retractable walls. The subtle presence of the leaves allowed the artworks to float in light. While the spaces within the museum square off into confinement, the leaves overhead provide for a sense of endlessness in projecting lines.
