The Everyday Project

Design is a behaviour, not a body of knowledge.

The sheepairsupport daily project started in 2017 with this initial idea. What looks now to be a series of random design, accumulates to be an exhaustive image train of future architectural thought.

We become what we behold. We shape our tools and then our tools shape us.

At the back of the McLuhan doctrine, that when the media is superseded, it becomes junk before it is regarded as art - it is also assumed that in this lifetime, machine learning would have made architectural thought obsolete. Therefore, it is acknowledged that these projects are considered low-culture (with an almost certain chance of failure), knowing that it would re-surface again as such art.

The new electronic independence re-creates the world in the image of a global village.

What inspired this?

I decided to do the daily project after seeing what Mike Winkelmann did for years with Beeple. I reflected on myself and couldn’t bear to see myself retiring from architecture with less than 50 designs/projects under my belt. It was the norm (at the time) and a shame considering I had to go through more than 5 years of architecture school! Design was at the heart of the profession, so why not churn them out in bulk … throughout my lifetime.

What do these categories mean?

Foster, Grimshaw, Exton, Tower etc. These are file-running names in my hard-drive. I named them randomly based on personal events! Purely for fun, of course. As you may be aware, all these images correspond to folders containing the open source files, which then get uploaded to my Patreon under the Open Source Projects.

What can I use these images for?

Anything you want really. All images are free to use for whatever!
